The broken window theory states that if a window were broken in a building and left broken, it would give the impression that no one cares about what takes place in said building. So people could do whatever they want within that space including commit crime.

This was the driving idea behind the vandal squads crackdown on subway graffiti in the 90’s. I just heard that subway crime has actually risen since then, so umm doesnt that mean your theory is bullshit? maybe its your advertisements? :p
